Why Give?

During the 2016-2017 year, a total of 53,164 individuals were impacted in Lancaster County!

23,870 individuals were assisted with food.

7,843 individuals were impacted through educational programs for adults and children.

3,171 individuals received crisis assistance for shelter, utilities, deposits and other necessities.

768 individuals received medical and health related assistance.

641 individuals were assisted with meals & transportation through senior programs.

15,228 individuals received contact referrals and were scheduled appointments for various human service needs.

1,640 individuals were impacted through free tax services, bringing back $625,237 that went into the pockets of those who needed it most.

3 community projects were completed through the Day of Caring outreach.

Donations will also support programs administered directly through United Way of Lancaster County such as the 2-1-1 referral hotline, the Stamp Out Hunger food drive, Reading Pals, 2 Community Gardens, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, and the Lancaster Area Coalition for the Homeless or LACH; which is currently operating a shelter for women and children through the winter season.
