Since 1993, the Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive has been the U.S.’s largest one-day drive, held annually on the second Saturday in May.
Each year on the second Saturday in May, the National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive spreads out across America to help provide assistance to Americans who are struggling with hunger. United Way of Lancaster County partners with our local USPS to bring volunteers to help with this one day initiative to promote and collect donations to help feed our local families.
In 2019, our county collected a total of 15,054lbs of food!
Stamp Out Hunger will be held on May 14, 2022. Please contact the United Way of Lancaster County if you are interested in volunteering to sort food that day.
Remember to place your non perishable food items out for your postal worker to collect that day.
